Upholstered Seats for Your Hotel: The Vanity Has Style
I like hotels that dare to be different. That is, those that avoid the whole “mauve and sea foam” color palette, and the ill-advised and shamefully overdone seascape watercolors on the walls. Thankfully, many hotels and motels are now moving away from the same old designs that lump them together with their competition. Innkeepers, take note: a refreshing splash of color is sometimes all it takes to make a hotel room more inviting to guests.
Don’t fall into the pastel trap with your hotel room decor. Instead, go for bold colors and touchable fabrics and surfaces. (And for goodness sake, if you’re going to use those thin, scratchy duvets with the cotton equivalent of steel wool on the underside, at least use fabric softener. Thanks!) The popular bolds of the season tend to be named after foods. One sofa that caught my eye is the IB Vanity by Gianni Rossetti. Any piece of furniture named after a vice is okay in my book.
The Vanity is a three seater sofa that comes with a leather and fabric upholstery. It can also be upholstered in a fabric of the customer’s choice, but I recommend sticking with the look in the picture above – a color I’ll always think of as ‘Tangerine’. Paired with the lovely arm chairs in the collection, the Vanity will round out an entire room full of fun furniture in various shades of citrus. It also comes in a low back version, as well as a two seater version. I can imagine many uses for this seat. For pubs with modern bar tables, these seats would make wonderful accents or waiting area furniture. The arm chairs would even make for quirky bistro furniture in the UK.
The Vanity’s specs are as follows: 102cm high, 44cm seat height, 210cm wide, and 95cm deep. It’s got a wooden frame upholstered with non-deformable polyurethane foam with polyester fibre, and chrome metal legs.
