Funky Furniture: The ZS Piper Series

I love to look at interesting furniture, and I’ll bet many of your clients do, too. When I see a chair that looks squishy or a seat cover that looks touchable, I can’t resist - I have to go see if it feels as good as it looks.

And that’s the whole idea! Attractive seating isn’t very useful if it’s sitting there empty. You want people to want to sit down and stay for a while. One way to do that is to invest in some seats that just beg to be sat upon.

piper-chair.jpgI’ve been looking at a lot of comfortable, padded chairs and love seats, and one that jumped out at me was the ZS Piper collection. I clicked it, then went off to look at something else. Then I was drawn back for a second look. I’m not entirely sure why. This isn’t gorgeous furniture, but there’s something intriguing about it. My first thought was that the chairs looked like free-standing airplane seats. Then I saw the conglomeration that can be made from shoving multiple pieces together, and I thought of an enormous romper room. (Note: That could just be because I’m weird.)

Regardless, these seats look fun. They’d be great as modern bar furniture or in funky reception area. They’re soft, yielding, and look like something you could sink into with friends or that special date. If your business is slanted more toward the preschool set, these pieces would be right a home in a play area or pediatrician’s office, too. I’ve seen similar setups in the play area at our local shopping mall, and the children love to bounce and climb on them.

The ZS Piper collection is available in combinations of tan and green, blue, and red. They’re described as “flexible, modular… contract seating for bars, reception areas, night clubs and many other public areas where attractive seating is required.”
